Yes, the Free plan has no time limit and needs no account. Pro adds sync across devices and sharing for USD 7.99 a month or USD 79.99 a year, taxes included, and you can try it free for 14 days without a card.
On Free, you can: notes are kept only in the browser you write in, so clearing its site data or losing the device removes them. Export a backup now and then. With Pro, your notes are also kept in your account and on your other devices.
On Free, no: what you write in your own workspace stays in this browser. With Pro, your notes are stored on servers in Europe and encrypted in transit and at rest, but not end-to-end: our servers read them for sync, sharing and the tools you connect. No one at ThreadPage looks at a note unless you ask us to, it is reported, a security incident requires it or the law does.
Yes, ThreadPage runs in the browser on phones and computers, and once it has opened, it keeps working without internet. On Free, each browser keeps its own notes; with Pro, your notes sync across your devices when you are back online.
Can I import my notes, and take them with me later?
Only ThreadPage backups: from other apps, paste text, lists and tables into a note and add images separately. At any time you can export all your notes and images as a backup ZIP, with notes in JSON, or copy a thread as plain text.
No. Only the owner of a shared folder or thread needs Pro. People you invite need only a free account, and anyone with a public link can read without signing in.
What happens to my notes if I stop paying for Pro?
Nothing is deleted when Pro ends. Your cloud copy becomes read-only for you and the people you share with: you can still read and export it, and new notes stay in your browser until Pro is back. We can remove that copy only after at least 90 days and two emails.
No, ThreadPage has no built-in AI and does not use your notes to train AI models. With Pro or a Pro trial, you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code; each works only with the access you give it.
How is ThreadPage different from Apple Notes or Notion?
Apple Notes and Notion give you pages that you keep editing. ThreadPage gives each project a thread: each time you work on it, you add a note, so the history stays in order and you see where you stopped. There is nothing to set up first.
