Everything you’re waiting on

The lease, the laptops, the insurance audit. Each is a thread, and Waiting becomes Monday’s list of who to chase.

Before

You run operations at a 30-person company and have fourteen things open. The landlord answers by email, the vendor on Telegram, the CEO in Slack. Your task app keeps the task and loses the story, your notes keep the story and lose the state, and the chats lose both.

Why a thread, not a task app, a note or a chat

  1. The state and the story together

Waiting tells you it’s stuck. The last note tells you why, and on whom.

  2. Switching is cheap

Columns puts three vendor threads side by side, and each one opens where you left it.

  3. Still there next year

Archive a thread that’s Done to take it out of your lists; it still turns up in Search, accents or not.

Monday, 10:00: who to chase this week.
