ThreadPage for Android 1.0
Updated: October 20, 2026
This notice explains how the local-only Android version of ThreadPage handles information. The ThreadPage website and web app are separate services covered by our Website Privacy Policy.
Who operates ThreadPage
ThreadPage is operated by Nazarii Olehovych Leus, an individual entrepreneur registered in Ukraine, trading as ThreadPage. You can contact us about privacy at support@thread.page.
Your workspace stays on your device
Your Folders, Threads, Notes, drafts, recovery copies, original images and workspace preferences are stored in the app's local storage on your Android device. Writing, editing and reading your content does not send it to ThreadPage servers.
This version has no sign-in, account creation or automatic sync. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics service or embedded crash-reporting service. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone. When you import a file or insert an image, you select it through Android's system file picker.
The app uses Android's private app storage for its workspace. Protection also depends on your device's security, screen lock and operating-system settings. ThreadPage does not add a separate password or encryption layer to its workspace or exported archives.
Backups and device transfers
Local storage is not a backup. If your device is lost, damaged or cleared, your workspace may be lost.
ThreadPage disables Android automatic cloud backup and supplies rules excluding its private workspace from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Transfer tools and behaviour can vary between device manufacturers and operating-system versions. Do not rely on a phone backup or device migration to preserve your workspace. Export a ThreadPage backup and keep a copy somewhere you trust.
Files you import or export
You choose which backup files and images to import. ThreadPage reads the selected files to add them to your local workspace. If you select a file from a cloud-backed provider, that provider may download it under its own privacy terms.
A complete ThreadPage backup includes workspace content, original images, drafts, Archive, Trash and recovery copies. A raw recovery export can include the original database and related local files, including content the app cannot interpret.
For backup and raw recovery exports, you choose a destination in Android's system folder picker. ThreadPage writes the archive to that destination and checks the resulting copy. To export an individual original image, you choose a receiving app or destination through Android's sharing interface.
These exports happen only when you request them. ThreadPage does not upload them to a ThreadPage server. A folder provider or receiving app you select may store or upload the files under its own terms. Exported archives are not password-protected, and their contents can be read by anyone who obtains a copy. Original images may retain metadata already present in the file. Choose destinations and recipients carefully.
Links you open
When you open an external link, Android opens it in a browser or another suitable app. That destination receives the request, including information normally sent by that browser or app, such as an IP address. ThreadPage does not attach your workspace to the request. The link itself may contain information you entered or imported.
Support
If you contact support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. Do not send a backup, Note or screenshot unless you intend to share that content. We use this information to respond to you and investigate the issue. Our Website Privacy Policy explains the handling of support messages and requests about your personal information.
Google Play and device diagnostics
Google and your device manufacturer handle store, device and diagnostic information under their own privacy terms and settings. Google Play may make installation statistics and crash or performance reports available to us. Android vitals uses diagnostic information from devices whose users have chosen to share usage and diagnostics with Google. This is separate from an analytics or crash-reporting service embedded in ThreadPage.
We use reports made available to us to investigate problems and improve the app. Copies we retain under our control follow the diagnostic-log and support-correspondence schedules in our Website Privacy Policy: diagnostic records are normally kept for up to 30 days, and routine support correspondence for up to 24 months after the enquiry closes, subject to the legal and security exceptions stated there. Unnecessary attachments are removed earlier. These periods do not control copies retained by Google, device manufacturers or services you choose.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Your local workspace remains on your device until you remove it. Archive and Trash retain content; recovery copies can also retain content. You can manage these items in the app.
To remove the local workspace, use Settings → Clear workspace and confirm the action. This removes the workspace, including drafts, Archive, Trash, recovery copies and locally stored original images. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app also removes its local app data.
Removing local data does not remove backups, exported images or other copies you saved elsewhere or sent to another service. Manage those copies through the destination you chose. ThreadPage does not hold a server copy of this local workspace and cannot restore or remotely delete it for you.
You can read, edit, export and delete your local content through the app. Contact support@thread.page about support information we hold or a privacy request.
Changes to this notice
We will identify changes to the app's processing in an updated notice before introducing a new use that requires it. This notice does not request consent to optional processing.
