# A renovation everyone can follow

The builder adds photos, you add decisions, and every change has a price. “I never approved that” ends with one search.

## At a glance

- **For:** Homeowners and the people doing the work.
- **You keep:** A thread per room or job, shared with the builder at Can add notes.
- **Nothing to set up:** Photos straight from the phone.
- **The moment:** “You approved the move.” A search for #change finds the note with the photo of the marking, the price and your OK with its date.
- **Plan:** Pro · From USD 7.99 a month. 14 days free, no card. Only the one who shares needs Pro. The builder joins free.

## Before

The builder sends photos on WhatsApp, the architect emails drawings, and the price for moving the island was agreed on the phone. Three weeks later there is an extra €600 on the invoice, and nobody remembers who said yes.

## Why a thread, not WhatsApp and email

### One record for both sides

His photos and your decisions are in one timeline, with names and dates.

### Changes are easy to find

Tag each change #change, and Search lists them with their prices.

### The photos you’ll need later

Wiring and pipes before the walls are closed, kept with the job.

## A thread, over time

Your workspace starts empty.

## Limits

- Search finds a drawing or a quote by its file name, not by the text inside it.

More use cases

### [One shared thread per client](https://thread.page/use-cases/client-work.md)

Every change of plan has a date and a name. On Fridays, you ask ChatGPT or Claude to draft the client’s update from the week.

You’re the one nearby, so you write: the new dose with a photo of the label, the X-ray, the pension office’s letter. Your sister and brother read it and stop asking.
