# A residence permit and a mortgage, at once

Each letter, call and photo goes into its thread, and Waiting marks what’s out of your hands. “I sent it on 7 August” is a fact.

## At a glance

- **For:** Anyone dealing with an office for months.
- **You keep:** One thread per procedure, such as the residence permit and the mortgage.
- **Nothing to set up:** Photos and screenshots, pasted straight in.
- **The moment:** When the office calls, you know what you sent and when. Two years later, the next renewal starts from this one.
- **Plan:** Free · Your notes stay in this browser and never reach our servers; export a backup now and then. Pro to share with your partner.

## Before

A folder of scans, three email threads and “what did she say on the phone last time?”. The office asks for a document you already sent, and you can’t say when. Meanwhile the bank wants the same papers in a different order.

## Why a thread, not a folder and your inbox

### Every contact has a date

Calls, letters and submissions are notes, in order.

### The checklist and the proof together

Tick the document and add its photo in the same note.

### Private by default

On Free your notes never leave this browser.

## The moment

Two procedures at once, and the last thing that happened in each.

Example list:

- Residence permit renewal · Appointment on 17 September at 09:30, room 2.17. · Waiting
- Mortgage · The bank wants payslips for the last three months. · Active

## A thread, over time

Your workspace starts empty.

### The formal letter, in German

Write what you need in your own language. @translate sends the note to your translation workflow, and the letter comes back as a note.

#### Set it up

Automation Send notes you @ to a URL

1. In **Settings → Connections → Automations**, choose **Connect an automation** → **Send notes you @ to a URL**, paste your workflow’s URL and name it translate.
2. Connect it to a workflow, for example in n8n, that calls the translation service you already use and posts the answer.
3. On Free, **Copy as text** gives your assistant the whole thread as text instead, and ThreadPage sends nothing.

## Limits

- Search finds a file by its name, not by the text inside it: name a scan after the letter.

n8n is the name of its owner. ThreadPage is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
